Childhood Healthy

Lifestyles Study

Are you concerned about your child's eating and activity habits?

Researchers at the Miriam Hospital/Brown Medical School have developed two programs to help children aged 4 to 9 years adopt healthy eating and activity patterns early in life.  These programs, called Child HELP and Kids CAN, are designed to establish life-long, health promoting behaviors to help prevent obesity later in life.

Does your child :

  • eat too many snack foods?
  • not eat enough fruits and vegetables?
  • watch more than 2 hours of TV per day?
  • drink too much soda and other sweetened drinks (i.e. Kool-Aid)?
  • not drink enough low-fat milk?

If you answered yes to any of these questions your child may qualify for Child HELP or Kids CAN.

Your child's eating and activity behaviors today affect your child's weight and health for a lifetime!
