Project SLEEP

Is Your Child Getting Enough Sleep?

Many children in this country do not get enough sleep.  This can lead to problems in school and to health problems, including obesity.  The Miriam Hospital is conducting a research program for children 8-11 years old who sleep 9 hours or less each night.  Parents and children will be asked to come in for 3 visits over 2 weeks to assess sleep and daytime behaviors such as hunger, eating, and activity level.  Parents will be provided with strategies to ensure that their children get a good night’s sleep.

Call the Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center at 401-793-9727 to see if you and your child qualify for this free program.
